Workshops for Secondary Schools

Secondary School - Bespoke workshops

We run workshops to fit in with the challenging secondary school timetable, therefore the length, content and price varies according to your requirements. Our most popular workshops are:

‘An Introduction to...’

In order to help the students get to grips with the basic plot and character names in the plays they are studying, we take them through the play in a visual and interactive manner. By the end of the session they have a good grasp of the story (including sub plots), the main character names and traits and the themes of the play. A complimentary Teachers’ Pack is provided.

Bard Heads

A forty five minute tailor-made workshop on either 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', 'Twelfth Night', ‘Hamlet’ or ‘Macbeth’ followed by a fifty minute monologue and fifteen minute Question & Answer session. Suitable for Year 10 upwards. Please see the Bard Heads page for further details.

‘Page to Stage’

In this workshop we concentrate on the different ways in which the plays can be reproduced for theatre, film or TV. Students are given the opportunity to explore themes and improvise various ways in which the core themes can be made relevant today. A complimentary Teachers’ Pack is provided.
